Pack a picnic and blanket and enjoy time with your family and friends in the Sacred Heart Courtyard! Jumbo yard games and $1 Jolly’s root beer floats will be available for your enjoyment. Weather permitting. Sponsored by St. Francis Spirituality Center.
Saturday, Aug. 19, 26 and Sept.16 (9:30 – 10:30am) Seeds of Joy Cooking Classes at Ralph’s Joy of Living, 33 N. Washington St., Tiffin.
Enjoy a cooking class using microgreens and vegetables from the Seeds of Hope Farm on the St. Francis Campus and olive oils from Ralph’s Joy of Living to create marinades, dressings and much more. Different ingredients will be used each time. Cost: $20 per person. Space is limited. Please RSVP by noon on Thursdays at 419-447-1051.
“Season of Creation” Retreat on Friday evening, Sept. 1 – Sunday afternoon, Sept. 3 at St. Francis Spirituality Center, 200 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin.
Kickoff the Season of Creation (Sept. 1- Oct. 4) with an outdoor retreat co-sponsored by St. Francis Spirituality Center and the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center. Using prayer, contemplative movement, song, art, and green building tours, we will explore spirituality of place from dawn to dusk while celebrating God’s gift of creation and committing to action on its behalf. $190 per person includes meals and lodging; $140 Commuter. Tuesday, August 15 (8:00am-Noon) Pop-Up Summer Camp at the Franciscan Earth Literacy STEM Camp for Kids Ages 8-18 Years Old, located 194 St Francis Ave, Tiffin.
Explore the OSU’s Mobile STEM Lab (including coding, technology & robotics) with Seneca County 4-H Educator Katie Cole.
Fee: $50 per child to be paid in advance or the morning of from 7:30 – 8:00 AM (care takers will sign two release forms). Register at sshafranek@felctiffin.org or call (419)-448-7485

Space is limited to 20 campers (a minimum of 10 is needed per camp). A light snack will be provided, but bring your own water bottle.
Thursday, August 24 (6:30-8:00pm) Fall Gardening at the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center, 194 St Francis Ave, Tiffin.
There are many activities that can be accomplished in the vegetable garden in the fall in preparation for the winter season so the soil can rest and be ready for the spring planting season. There are also a number of activities that can be continued in order to keep harvesting cool weather crops through the fall.
