Mohawk Community Library Offers Reading Dragons and Friends Program
Mohawk Community Library is offering a free, innovative program to motivate patrons of all ages to read. Beginning in September, the public can sign up for Reading Dragons and Friends and receive a starter set of collectible cards featuring mythical creatures. Participants will track their time spent reading to earn up to 16 new cards each month!
Reading Dragons and Friends is a fun way to encourage children and adults to build positive reading habits. Patrons of all ages are welcome to join. This program rewards participants for time spent reading and encourages everyone to read at their own pace, strengthen their reading skills, and make time to read regularly.
The collectible Reading Dragons and Friends cards feature creatures like dragons, unicorns, griffins, and more. Participants can play games with the cards and try to collect them all!
Visit Mohawk Community Library to register and receive a starter set of cards along with a reading tracker. The program runs from September through April.
