Heidelberg University Theatre invites the community to enjoy a hilarious and touching comedy about friendships that last forever. The Sweet Delilah Swim Club by Jones Hope Wooten will be performed in the Little Theatre of Founders Hall on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 15-16, at 7:30 p.m. and at Sunday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m.

This show features five Southern women whose friendships began on their college swim team and who meet every summer for a reunion at the same beach cottage, the “Sweet Delilah,” at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The show focuses on four of those weekends and spans 33 years as the women catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives.

As their lives unfold and the years pass, these women increasingly rely on one another through advice to get through the challenges that life throws at them. When fate goes wrong, these friends prove how the enduring power of “teamwork” will work in their favor.

Directed by senior Theatre major Riley Ameel and produced by Alpha Psi Omega, tickets can be reserved at www.heidelbergtheatre.org. This is an opportunity to get a good laugh and see the value of lifelong friendships in action.
