American Civil War Museum of Ohio Set to Open for 14th Season

Opening Date of Wednesday, March 20

 

TIFFIN, OHIO – March 13, 2024 – The American Civil War Museum has announced that they will be opening for the year on Wednesday March 20, for their 14th season.

 

The American Civil War Museum of Ohio is a not-for-profit organization that was formed to satisfy the community’s need for a unique educational museum by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the American Civil War and its impact on the current generation of American people.

 

The family friendly museum offers more than 10,000 square feet of exhibit space that features artifacts, dioramas, mannequins, audio-visual tools, hands-on experiences, and informational displays. There are eight main exhibit areas within the museum with unique learning centers for children and adults.

 

The museum has numerous hands-on activities that allow for history to come alive and become more real when visitors get to experience it.  A 20-minute video titled “Ohio’s Role in the Civil War” plays in the museum theater for free viewing. They also offer a well-stocked gift shop with numerous and varied book titles.

 

The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 4 PM. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors (55+), $4 for students, and children under six years of age are free.
