A very emotional exhibit, the non-profit 9/11 World Memorial is owned by Mitch Mendler and the memorial is meant to help pay tribute to the 2,978 men and women who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. At the center of the display is a steel beam, a piece of the 43rd floor of the World Trade Center South Tower.
In addition to hosting the traveling memorial, Seneca East will play host to nationally renowned speaker, Joe Torrillo as he will speak in the main gymnasium on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 7:15 PM. Torrillo travels the world as a professional speaker sharing his amazing story of strength and courage as he survived being buried alive in not only one of the twin towers, but both of them as they collapsed. Torrillo is on a quest to make our country the “Re-United States of America”, resurrecting patriotism, trumpeting the men and women of the Armed Services, mentoring adolescents, and inspiring audiences of all sizes to embrace change and never give up on their dreams. Torrillo’s presentation will be open to the public. Plan to arrive early for seating.
