VA Services at 10am
A proclamation will be made celebrating the honorable veterans of Tiffin who made the ultimate sacrifice. A special remembrance will be made to those who passed within the past 23 months, June 1, 2019 through May 31, 2021. Names of those who sacrificed their lives will be read as a bell rings and a ribbon is placed on a wreath. Family members are welcome and encouraged to take part of this ceremony as your loved ones are remembered.
Seneca County Museum open 11am-4pm
The Seneca County museum at 28 Clay St, will be offering a “sneak peek” to the public for the first time since closing under COVID restrictions in March of 2020.
Frost Village open house 1pm-3pm
Andrew Kalnow’s “Frost Village”, an extensive project of historical building restoration as well as a high impact neighborhood revitalization project, will hold an open house of three of its houses under renovation. This will be a self-guided tour, with an information sheet handout and a proctor at each property. The Frost Village properties are situated within a National Register of Historic Places District, listed as “Fort Ball – Railroad Area Historic District” in the City of Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio.
Music by the Cherry Bombs 2pm-4pm
Band sponsored by the Sergeant Anthony J. Paradiso “Support Our Troops” fund of The Tiffin Community Foundation. This fund supports U.S. military troops, veterans, and their families from tiffin and Seneca county, Ohio.
